We founded Carpe Diem in 2019 to set new standards for how travellers experience Rome.
The Eternal City has been enticing travellers for centuries. But Rome’s enduring popularity and constant stream of visitors has meant that its tour operators have never really had to try. Not striving to meet needs of today’s travellers has shaped a culture of mediocrity in Roman tourism: characterised by a lack of personal attention, uninspiring guides, and information confused by the language gap.
We founded Carpe Diem Rome to change the direction of travel in tourism.
We design and deliver fun, factual and fluent tours across the Eternal City, sharing the best of our city from a local’s perspective. We also facilitate conversations between people through our Facebook Travel Group, newsletters, and social media communities—providing platforms for them to share their experiences, tips, and recommendations to help others get the most out of their time in Italy and its capital.
